Premier Oil moves closer to securing refinancing deal

Premier Oil has announced that holders representing more than 75% by value of its $245m convertible bonds have now entered into the lock up agreement committing them to vote in favour of the proposed refinancing.

Norway sees increase in March oil and gas production

The Norwegian Petroleum Directorate reports that preliminary production figures for March 2017 show an average daily production of 2,145,000 barrels of oil, NGL and condensate, which is an increase of 63,000 barrels per day (approx. 3 percent) compared to February.

Norway: NPD expects exploration record in the Barents Sea in 2017

The Norwegian Petroleum Directorate is expecting a new record in the number of exploration wells in the Barents Sea this year. Fifteen wells are scheduled for drilling, two more than in the record year 2014.

Norway: NPD doubles resource estimate for the Barents Sea

According to the Norwegian Petroleum Directorate’s new calculations, the undiscovered oil and gas resources in the Barents Sea are twice as large as previously assumed. The resources in the new area are estimated at 1.4 billion standard cubic metres of oil equivalents.
