Norway: OMV awards Island Drilling a contract for a well on the Wisting licence - PL 537

Norway's Island Drilling Company has announced that the company has been awarded a drilling contract with OMV Norge. The contract is for one well at the Wisting licence (PL 537) with the rig Island Innovator. Start-up is scheduled for 3rd quarter 2017.

Seabird to provide source vessel for survey in South America

SeaBird Exploration has announced that it has signed an agreement to provide a source vessel for an upcoming survey in South America. The project is anticipated to commence during Q3 and will have a duration of approx. 60 days. SeaBird will be using the Osprey Explorer for the project.

Mozambique: GE Oil & Gas and Eni East Africa sign long-term partnership to develop gas resources offshore Mozambique

GE Oil & Gas has signed a long-term agreement to collaborate with Eni East Africa (EEA) on the offshore Mozambique developments it operates. The agreement comprises a multi-year contract for the Coral South FLNG project and is the first phase of EEA’s strategically-important development plans for the Rovuma basin Area 4 gas resources.

Italy: Saffron Energy still waiting for grant of production concession for Sant'Alberto

AIM-listed Saffron Energy continues to make good progress in its application for a full production concession for its Sant'Alberto licence. Development of Sant'Alberto will follow the grant of the production concession and first gas is now expected in or around Q1 2018.

Guinea: Hyperdynamics to spud Fatala-1 well by end July

Hyperdynamics has announced that its wholly owned subsidiary, SCS Corp, and South Atlantic Petroleum ('SAPETRO') are proceeding with the preparation to spud the Fatala-1 well, offshore Guinea. The Pacific Scirocco drillship is expected to spud the well by end July.

Maersk Convincer takes over contract from Maersk Completer

Maersk Drilling reports that the jack-up Maersk Convincer, currently finalising its five-yearly Special Period Survey (SPS) yard stay in Singapore, will be taking over a contract from its sister rig, the Maersk Completer, currently operating offshore Brunei.

Indonesia: Conrad Petroleum reaches TD at Mako South-1 well - testing underway

JV partner Empyrean Energy has been advised by, Conrad Petroleum, the operator of the Duyung PSC in the Natuna Basin Offshore Indonesia, that the Mako South-1 well has reached its planned Total Depth ('TD'). Coring and logging is completed and testing is underway.

UK: UKOG reports further oil seeps from Kimmeridge Limestone core samples at Broadford Bridge-1 in PEDL234

UK Oil & Gas Investments (UKOG) has announced that core, totalling 330 ft, has been successfully recovered from the Kimmeridge Limestone 4 ('KL4') target zone at its 100%-owned Broadford Bridge-1 ('BB-1') exploration well. Mobile light oil continued to be observed seeping from multiple sections of fractured KL4 calcareous shales and limestones throughout the cored section.

Cameroon: Victoria Oil & Gas extends gas supply agreement with ENEO
