Uruguay: Petrel Energy announces first ever hydrocarbon discovery in Uruguay

Petrel Energy has announced that Schuepbach Energy Uruguay (51%-owned by Petrel) has encountered 2m of oil saturated sand iun the Cerro Padilla-1 well, drilled in the Norte Basin, onshore Uruguay. The well, which is the first ever confirmed discovery of hydrocarbons in Uruguay, is being completed for production testing.

Colombia: GeoPark announces high-impact acquisition in Colombia

GeoPark has announced the execution of a joint venture agreement related to certain exploration activities in new high-potential exploration acreage in the Llanos Basin in Colombia, through a partnership with CEPSA Colombia. The Tiple Block acreage is located adjacent to GeoPark’s prolific Llanos 34 block.

GoM: Byron Energy completes pipeline installation for SM 71 development in the Gulf of Mexico

JV partner Otto Energy has been advised by Byron Energy, the operator of the South Marsh Island 71 (SM 71) oil and gas development, that the oil and gas export pipeline installation has been completed and first production is on schedule for late January 2018.

Nigeria: BW Offshore receives contract extension from Addax for the FPSO Sendje Berge

BW Offshore, has agreed terms of a contract extension for the FPSO Sendje Berge with Addax Petroleum Exploration (Nigeria) on the Okwori field offshore Nigeria. The contract extension will be for a four-year fixed term with two additional one-year extension options.

UK: Catcher FPSO arrives at Premier Oil's Catcher field, offshore UK

Premier Oil reports that the BW Catcher Floating Production Storage and Offloading ('FPSO') vessel arrived at the Catcher field on 18th October. Delivery of first oil remains on schedule by the end of the year.

Angus Energy has received final approval from the Oil and Gas Authority ('OGA') for its Field Development Plan Addendum at the Brockham Oil Field in PL235). The OGA approval is the final regulatory consent needed for the Company to begin production from the Kimmeridge layers in well BR-X4Z ('X4Z').

Australia: AWE reports outstanding results from Waitsia flow tests

AWE, the Operator of Production Licences L1/L2 in the onshore Perth Basin, Western Australia, has announced it has commenced flow testing the Waitsia-3 well to further appraise the conventional Waitsia gas discovery. The Kingia Sandstone achieved a maximum flow rate of 50 MMscf/d.

Norway: Shell has entered into an agreement with CapeOmega to sell its interest in the Polarled gas pipeline to CapeOmega

Shell has entered into an agreement with CapeOmega on the sale of Shell's 9.02% stake in the Polarled gas pipeline and 3% of the 15.03% stake in the gas plant Nyhamna. CapeOmega is owned by HitecVision.

Norway sees decrease in September production

The Norwegian Petroleum Directorate reports that preliminary production figures for September 2017 show an average daily production of 1,772,000 barrels of oil, NGL and condensate, which is a decrease of 171,000 barrels per day compared to August.
