Role Purpose

Accountable to the VP Operations for the for safe execution of BKR wells work including:
  • Integrity of the Bruce, Keith, Rhum wells
  • Custodian of the wells examination scheme
  • Liaises with regulatory authorities on all drilling and wells matters
  • Work closely with the wells assurance manager
  • Lead the wells engineering and operations activities ensure the delivery of the well objectives within budget, on schedule and without incident

Travel Required: Occasional as required

Main Tasks

  • Well examination scheme reporting
  • Manage the integration of well integrity testing schedule and anomaly management
  • Manage the contracting of 3rd parties to execute well work
  • Prepares well intervention programs, including equipment specification and selection and wireline and coiled tubing modelling
  • Prepares cost estimates and provides cost control for well intervention activities
  • Develop, maintain & ensure compliance with well control incident response plan
  • Maintains the awareness of and involvement in new intervention technologies, with appropriate incorporation into designs and work programs
  • Implement best practices as identified in engineering & operational studies
  • Provide post-analyses and benchmarking data to incorporate into future well intervention programs
  • Assure adequate third party quality assurance and quality control
  • Prepare end of well reports

  • Significant experience in all aspects well life cycle integrity tasks, including managing Wells operations
  • Offshore operational drilling experience on a wide variety of rigs and well types, and rig based work-over operations
