Role Purpose

  • Responsible for the asset integrity & process safety for Serica (UK) Energy
  • Support asset with Process Safety & Integrity improvement programs
  • Development of late life strategies

Areas of Responsibility

Geographical Span: Serica Assets- UKCS
Budgetary Responsibilities: No
Travel Required: Occasional offshore platform visits as required

Main Tasks

  • Responsible for ensuring appropriate Process Safety & Integrity Management strategies, process & procedures are in place
  • Supports conformance with company practices and regulatory requirements.
  • Assurance and overview of Process Safety & Integrity Management work carried out
  • Owner of Process Safety & Integrity Management improvement plans
  • Effective management of data
  • Feedback to the VP Technical on the Process Safety & Integrity status of Serica Assets
  • Data analysis and provide input for facilitates improvements sessions
  • Support the asset integrity improvement programs
  • Support the assets with new technology and Innovation by fast tracking proven technology through trials
  • Benchmark and promote collaboration with other operators
  • Supporting the provision of additional engineering support
  • Provide PS & IM input to studies / projects
  • Appropriate material selection
  • Assurance of asset obsolescence strategies
  • Development of late life strategies
  • Input into decommissioning studies
  • Support Asset Integrity Engineers 

Professional Skills


  • Extensive knowledge of offshore process systems and integrity management
  • Proven background in management and supervisory roles including budgetary preparation, cost control and contractual awareness
  • Knowledge of discipline regulatory requirements, technical codes/ standards/ guidelines
  • Considerable knowledge of offshore Process Safety, management of change processes and risk management
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to engage with multidisciplinary teams to explain complex technical issues
  • Understanding of both Asset and Operational integrity as it applies to the offshore oil and gas industry
  • Knowledge of Integrity & Process Safety Engineering Software and Applications


  • Experience in late-life asset management
  • Knowledge of new and emerging technology and innovation
  • Experience with corrosion risk management
  • Experience of structural integrity management
  • Knowledge of production chemistry

Education Requirements


  • Degree qualified in an Engineering relevant discipline preferably Chemical, Mechanical or Corrosion
  • A Chartered or professional engineer registered with a recognised body i.e. UK Engineering Council accredited institute


  • Current offshore survival, medical and MIST certification
  • Computerised Inspection Management System - ACET
  • Computerised Maintenance Management System - MAXIMO
  • RBI software
  • Microsoft office
