Role Purpose

  • The role of the Senior Reservoir Engineer is to lead and manage all reservoir engineering related deliverables associated with Bruce, Keith and Rhum whilst supporting the corporate portfolio of projects and opportunities
  • The role focusses on reservoir and base management along with reservoir engineering support to on-going projects to maximise value before field COP.  These include propped fracturing, recompletions and well-intervention options
  • Manage all related notifications to OGA, i.e Stewardship survey
  • Manage BKR reserves reporting
  • As required, model impact on third party opportunities

Main Tasks

  • Responsible for managing resource and reserves progression in accordance with Company standards
  • Responsible for subsurface communications with partners
  • Long term production forecasting, option identification and resource progression
  • Provision of reservoir engineering input and support for Exploration, Development, Infill, Non-Op and M&A opportunities
  • Communication of subsurface risk and uncertainty to enable informed Area decisions
  • Integration with other functions, especially Ops, Commercial and Wells
  • Support of Area Development Planning processes, and responsible for subsurface inputs to this
  • Responsible for evaluating and communicating export impact of 3rd party activities on BKR

Professional Skills

Essential:
  • >10 years’ experience in reservoir engineering role
  • Eclipse and other reservoir engineering software skills, building, running and optimising models
  • All other reservoir engineering tools – material balance, decline curves etc
  • PVT understanding
  • Excellent technical writing and presentation skills
  • Understanding of economics and commercial drivers
  • Ability to work with geologists/ geophysicist to build models and run sensitivities
Desirable:
  • Experience with Petroleum Expert Suite of software (i.e. MBAL, Prosper, PVTp, etc)
  • Pressure Transient Analysis experience
