Role Purpose

The HSEQ Manager supports and advises Serica’s Board, Leadership and their teams on all aspects of HSEQ related matters, including legislation and compliance.

Areas of Responsibility

Geographical Span: Serica Assets- UKCS
Budgetary Responsibilities: Yes
Direct Reports: Yes
Travel Required: Occasional as required

Main Tasks

  • Provide visible HSEQ Leadership through regular visits to Company sites
  • Manage and maintain the Company’s Management System to ensure alignment with recognised industry standards
  • Manage relationships with Regulators and ensuring compliance with relevant provisions e.g. HSE Cases, Permits and Consents etc
  • Manage other external stakeholders as outlined in the Company’s Stakeholder Plan
  • Manage and support delivery of HSEQ Audit Plans
  • Advise on investigation requirements, and in event of serious incidents leading investigations
  • Maintain effective onshore Crisis Management & Emergency Response support capability, including management of the onshore ER support contract
  • Provide HSEQ support to the contracting management processes

Professional Skills

  • Extensive experience in major hazard industry
  • Experience of developing and maintaining HSEQ Management Systems that align with recognised standards
  • Experience in managing HSE Case development and updates
  • Experience of managing regulator and other stakeholder relationships
  • Experience of leading complex investigations and facilitating root cause analyses
  • Track record in developing and managing small multidisciplinary teams
  • Comprehensive understanding of the UK O&G legislative regime

Behavioural Skills

  • Commitment and track record of working collaboratively and delivering pragmatic HSEQ Leadership

Education Requirements

  • Degree qualified with CMIOSH or extensive experience in similar role
  • Recognised Auditor Qualification
