Environmental Strategy & Targets
We are committed to reducing greenhouse gas emissions through a plan of actions, projects and investments. We are fully aligned to the North Sea Transition Deal and support the World Bank’s target of eliminating routine flaring by 2030.
In 2023, we progressed projects in our Emissions Reduction Action Plan, saving over 5,000 tonnes CO2 by installing temporary power during our summer maintenance programme. We also made good progress in our medium pressure compressor upgrade project which will reduce our annual emissions from 2025 onwards. Our Plan sets out the ways to achieve our emissions reduction targets on the Bruce facilities through a variety of equipment upgrade and efficiency projects.
Our Emissions Reduction Action Plan (ERAP), written in line with the North Sea Transition Authority’s Stewardship Expectations, highlights our plans to reduce GHG emissions from our Bruce platform and meet the targets set out in the North Sea Transition Deal. You can view it here
Our 2024 Targets
- Scope 1 Carbon Intensity below 15.5 kg CO2/boe
- Total flaring volumes below 5,000 tonnes
